01 STYLE FRAMES

02 COMPOSITING
The compositing was done by me and Elizabeth Mortensen (see her work here!) The shots showcased here are the ones that I worked on.
Shots 010 (to the left) and 020 were both carried out with camera tracking. The data was transferred to Cinema in an .abc file and the blimp was added into that.
Shot 030 (to the right) followed an identical process to the earlier shots. I worked on the camera tracking while Elizabeth put the blimp in place and added shadows and highlights.
Shots 040 (to the left), 050, 060 were all rotoscoping. Since there was so much happening, we went frame by frame.
Shots 080, 090 (to the right), and 100 were all a matter of keying out the green screen. It was slightly challenging since the blimp isn't the same size as the green screen. Thankfully, we had a clean plate to put in the background.
The rest of the VFX were simply a roto on the left so that the blimp could be in the back.
All together... the final result looked like this!
